Secret Car Repairs

Okay! Woooo! Today’s the day we’ve all been waiting for. Today is the day I embark on my drive around Australia (including getting the ferry to Tasmania and driving around Tassie too). Six months of preparation have led to this moment, and I’m filled with excitement. I don’t have one ounce of nerves in my system, because I know just how perfect my car is. There is no other car in Australia that is as ready for this trip as mine is… which probably makes sense because no one else is about to drive around the country in less than 5 days.

In my last blog post, I assured you guys that I’d fill you in on what my mechanic did to my car for six months. However, I’ve spoken to him about it and I can’t tell you anything other than the fact that he did car repairs. Brighton mechanics are the best in the business and he doesn’t want to share his trade secrets with other mechanics (or wannabe mechanics). I think that’s fair enough and I respect his privacy. He is a legend, after all.

What I can tell you, however, is that some of the repairs were done by a Brighton auto electrician who specialises in all things auto electrics. Apparently, there are a lot of electrical components within my car, who knew?

I can’t believe I’m about to drive around Australia. When I beat the world record I’m going to be famous. This is what I’ll be known for and I’m absolutely stoked about it.

My plan in regards to updating you all on where I’m at is vague. I know you’ll all be wondering where I am and how I’m doing, but I won’t have much time to sit back and write a blog post when I’m on the road. I am essentially trying to win a race, after all. The first major city that I’ll be travelling to is Hobart, so I’ll try and update you guys once I’m there.

Here I go!
